Independent Label: Effective Records Launched By Simon Hanson And Laurence Nelson In 1992. Due To The Increasing Difficulty In Obtaining Top Quality Records For The Label, And The Falling Sales Figures Due To The Releases Not Being Up To The Standard They Had Set Themselves, It Was Not Possible To Carry On In A Viable Situation And Closed In 1996. Once The Effective Label Was Established Simon And Laurence Decided To Develop Affiliated Labels In Order To Cater For Slightly Different Styles Of Dance Music. A Recently Concluded Licensing Deal Gives Effective Records The Exclusive Worldwide Rights To Market And Distribute The New Club For Life Label, Owned By The Hugely Popular Club Of The Same Name. In Addition To The Club For Life Label, Simon And Laurence Set Up Another Two Labels - Paige Pressings Incorporated And Phoenix Rising.
