Independent label: Roswell Records was a Record label run by Dave Grohl After being lured to Capitol Records by the label's President, Gary Gersh, Nirvana's former drummer, Dave Grohl, borrowed the name of a UFO conspiracy site and launched his vanity imprint, Roswell Records. A sub-label of EMI Group (1995-99) | BMG (1999-2004) | Sony-BMG Music Entertainment (2004-Present). Foo Fighters is an American rock band, formed in Seattle in 1994. It was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the death of Kurt Cobain and the resulting dissolution of his previous band.
