Ultimatum / Earache Records was a DIY label managed by Earache Record founded in Nottingham by Digby Pearson. It issued singles in an BRILL-00 numerical series. Cathedral was founded in 1989 by Bass – Mark Griffiths Drums – Mike Smail Flute [Flutes] – Helen Acreman Guitar [Guitars] – Adam Lehan Vocals – Lee Dorrian . Dorrian was the only founding member to remain with Cathedral for its duration. Cathedral released The Forest of Equilibrium through Earache and then signed with Columbia.
